Mornington Peninsula covers many miles of a wonderful range of great swimming beaches and  surf beaches .Port Phillip has the added attraction of the many bathing boxes, great fishing spots, and safe family beaches. Take a drive along the beach road and just take in the wonderful scenery. Hop on the ferry at Sorrento and go over for the day at Queenscliff and if you’re lucky you may even see a family of dolphins following the ferry. Westernport beaches offer many often nearly secluded beaches .Balnarring beach you can catch the horses training in the sunrise. For Pelican lovers just get to Hastings and you will find plenty of pelicans just waiting for dinner time. Great fishing spots are all over the Peninsula and if you don’t have a boat or you don’t want to fish of the piers go out for a days fishing on a charter boat. Wine lovers, Red Hill and Main Ridge are the places to go and for fresh fruit a lot of orchards sell their fruit at very reasonable prices. Koalas are very plentiful on Westernport Bay and the local nursery’s are the places to go when you want to get that native plant or tree for the many native birds that live on the Mornington Peninsula .
